The five types of eBook readers (see the first article of the Top Question List) have different prices. Due to competition the prices will drop, but not dramatically. The size, the brand, the functionality and the usage of e-Ink are the most important figures that determine the price of an eBook reader.
The 5-6 inch eBook readers vary in the price of $100 (e.g. Kobo, Sony Pocket Reader) to $300. The 9-10 inch eBook readers will be found at around $500 till $1000 (e.g. Sony Daily Edition). We do not mention the prices of mobile phones, PDA's, or tables, as most of them are combined with a paid subscription.
